The Senior IT Infrastructure & Solutions Engineer will design and implement IT systems and solutions that drive operational efficiency and technology integration. This role focuses on the execution of solutions, including data migrations, workflow optimizations, and scalability improvements, playing a key part in delivering impactful IT initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Architect, implement, and manage IT solutions that align with firm-wide operational goals and evolving technology needs.
• Execute full-cycle data migrations (including SaaS-to-SaaS, on-prem to cloud), ensuring integrity, compliance, and minimal downtime.
• Administer, secure, and optimize network and system infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and cloud environments.
• Independently plan and deliver cloud infrastructure and SaaS implementations in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint security, identity and access management, security posture assessments, and incident response.
• Configure and deploy secure, scalable environments using Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, Defender, and related technologies.
• Optimize workflows and business processes by identifying automation opportunities and integrating platforms (via PowerShell, Logic Apps, Power Automate, etc.).
• Translate complex business needs into technical solutions, producing architecture diagrams, documentation, and deployment plans.
• Collaborate with project managers and department leads to scope, schedule, and deliver technology projects across various business units.
• Serve as an escalation point for high-level troubleshooting across all systems- hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based platforms.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to IT team members and assist with knowledge transfer/documentation.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, continuously improving the firm's tech stack and security posture.
• Design and implement IT solutions that align with the firm's operational needs and technology strategy.
• Execute data migrations, ensuring accuracy, security, and minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Optimize workflows by integrating and configuring systems to enhance productivity and scalability.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager to execute project plans and deliver solutions within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system designs.
• Install, configure, and test new IT systems and solutions to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Document system configurations, implementation processes, and troubleshooting guides for future reference.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users post-implementation to ensure successful adoption of new solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the firm's IT environment.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT architecture, systems engineering, network administration, and/or cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects independently from inception to closeout across multiple technical disciplines.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP a plus) and hybrid enterprise environments.
• Advanced experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Citrix, and firewall configurations (SonicWall or equivalent).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell required; Bash, Python, or others a plus).
• In-depth understanding of modern cybersecurity practices, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), email security, conditional access, and threat intelligence.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 platform administration, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and Defender.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on mission-critical systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Legal or professional services industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project deployments and infrastructure rollouts.
• Proven experience designing and implementing IT solutions, with a focus on integration and scalability.
• Strong expertise in data migrations, workflow optimizations, and system configurations.
• Hands-on experience with IT tools and platforms, such as Intune, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a detail-oriented approach to execution.
• Effective collaboration and communication abilities to work with project teams and end-users.
• Familiarity with the legal or professional services industry is preferred but not required.
• Certifications such as AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert), SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst), AZ-800/801 (Windows Server Hybrid Administrator), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator Associate), AWS-CSA (AWS Certified Solutions Architect), GSEC, CySA+, CEH, CKA, VMware MDM Specialist, Terraform Associate, and ITIL 4 Foundation are not required but are highly valued. These credentials demonstrate deep technical versatility across cloud infrastructure, security operations, scripting, systems administration, and DevOps automation. They align closely with the firm's Microsoft-based environment, automation-first initiatives, and the hands-on, end-to-end execution expected in this role.
