About This Role:

This position will work closely with agency staff and vendors, becoming a subject matter (SME) expert on the RecTrac system and other agency-specific software. As part of a team, you will perform application analysis and provide tier-3 end-user support. Other responsibilities include implementing new programs and modules, as well as adapting to the evolving requirements of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). This position will also be responsible for assisting in working with DPR to translate their business needs into possible technical solutions. This role requires the ability to connect remotely to application servers to diagnose issues by analyzing error logs, user group configurations and access permissions. The candidate will also be responsible for following change management processes and testing solutions to ensure resolutions are effective.

In this role, you will act as a lead on the DPR and Development team within the Business Technology Services Program of the Department of Information Technology. This team is comprised of 3 IT professionals and is focused on business applications and technology used by the Department of Parks and Recreation. A successful candidate will be a fast learner, eager to develop leadership skills, and comfortable with coaching and mentoring.
The successful candidate will display strong technical expertise, with a proven background in providing operational support for both on-premises and cloud solutions. They should be adept at managing multiple priorities while delivering technical support across various systems in a fast paced environment. Additionally, experience collaborating with help desk and/or application vendors to resolve issues is essential.

Lastly, effective communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate with internal departments and other teams within DoIT, and provide excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 6 years of related experience.

Preferences:

The most successful candidate will have experience with one or more of the following:
  • 2 years of IT experience with local, state or federal government
  • Experience with IT customer service
  • Experience functioning as a technical lead
  • Experience administering RecTrac system
  • Experience collaborating with help desk and/or application vendors
Special Requirements:

Any employee hired by the Department of Information Technology is required to submit to a background check, which includes a Criminal History Check and a Credit History check.

The candidate must be able to drive to various parks throughout the county.

Any employee hired is required to have a valid driver's license. A DMV check is required.

Work Schedule:

This position is classified as exempt, with the expectation that the candidate will complete duties within the required time frame. The standard workweek is 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday, between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position is an on-site position at Hellwig Memorial Park, Parks Administrative Center. Self-directed as necessary to accomplish the mission through in-person, remote, and travel, including occasional evenings and weekends. After-hours and weekend work are occasionally necessary to provide services that cannot be performed during regular business hours.

Starting Salary Range of: $76,069.50- $118,979.30
