Senior Investment Analyst

Salary: $90,000-$100,000
A leading investment team, represented by a premier search firm, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Investment Analyst. This individual will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, performing in-depth financial analysis, and supporting overall portfolio management. The position requires strong investment underwriting skills, financial modeling expertise, and a keen understanding of capital markets.
Key Responsibilities -
Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis across a diverse range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, private equity, credit, real estate, and alternatives.

Evaluate new investment opportunities, analyzing sponsor track records, deal structure, business plans, and sensitivity analysis. Present findings and recommendations to the investment committee.

Prepare and present quarterly reviews of existing investments, including performance vs. underwriting, fee and waterfall analysis, expected returns, and strategy outlook.

Draft high-quality investment memoranda, reports, and presentations to support decision-making by senior leadership.

Monitor and analyze the performance of portfolio investments and recommend strategic adjustments where appropriate.

Build and maintain relationships with investment sponsors, sourcing new opportunities and tracking ongoing performance.

Develop complex financial models for investment evaluation and scenario analysis.

Stay informed on macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and market movements to support informed investment decisions.

Contribute to asset allocation and portfolio construction efforts in line with risk/return objectives.
Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. MBA and/or CFA designation strongly preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in investment analysis, private equity, asset management, real estate, or a related field.

Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment underwriting.

Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management, and capital structures.

Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication skills with experience preparing and delivering investment recommendations to stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite.
