Accountant (manufacturing)
Rapidly growing and established company has an exciting opportunity to work with on their team as a c ost accountant is responsible for various inventory cost accounting processes, which may include but is not limited to: calculation of cost of goods sold for multiple manufacturing sites, reconciling and analysis of general ledger accounts, reconciling and analysis of physical inventories, and assisting in monthly and quarterly close processes. The position offers professional development. Compensation is up to $74k.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build Bills of Material with associated labor costs for multiple plants and maintain standard costs for outsourced items.
Communicate with plant personnel in order to solve communication problems regarding production, receiving, invoicing, transfers and inventory related issues, and, train them in proper procedures.
Develop knowledge regarding the cost accounting and the general ledger software.
Receive and fulfill requests for changes to bills of material in a timely manner.
Receive and fulfill requests to create new part numbers or update additional items in a timely manner.
Provide standard reports of sales that are missing material cost.
Provide standard reports of items with missing bills of material, missing bills of labor, or negative quantity.
Attend, support, and observe physical inventories as needed (usually one per quarter and at calendar year-end)
Assist with other accounting related activities and duties as assigned.
Interact with team members on-site and remotely.
Ideal candidate will have experience working with an ERP system
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Required minimum education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Required Major/Focus: Accounting or Finance
