Fantastic residential interior design firm in the East Bay, highly regarded and highly successful is seeking a dynamic Senior Interior Designer to join their team. MUST have single family luxury interior design experience, be able to travel, have senior level experience, project management skills and be able to work in person.


POSITION SUMMARY


Oversee design development and project management for all assigned projects related to interior furnishing as well as architectural designs for additions, renovations and new homes. Assist Principal and Design Director in development of full and complete design suite from conceptual design to finished projects. Manage all project related tasks, client meetings and contractor coordination. Adhere to COMPANY aesthetics and standards.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Research and analysis of the clients goals and requirements; development and oversight of drawings, schedules, budgets and diagrams that outline specified needs


Procure and document site measurements and existing conditions


Formulate preliminary space plans and design concept studies/sketches that integrate the clients needs and are in keeping with COMPANY aesthetics/standards


Represent COMPANY with clients, project team and vendors. Relay relevant information to Principal and team. Delegate tasks to design team


Oversee implementation of interior design vision and solutions for each project from concept stage through installation


Material management from selection to delivery and installation; research, select and obtain exterior and interior material options with cost analysis


Oversee integration of design services and furnishings specifications to ensure design is being executed with a holistic view


Select and specify furnishings, fixtures, equipment and millwork detailing, including layout drawings and detailed product description


Prepare specification and schedules with accurate product information for all furnishings, plumbing, appliances, lighting and finishes


Review and manage work produced by design team prior to issuing specifications or design presentations


Prepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevation, details and specification; power and A/V locations; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishes; and furniture layouts.


Prepare project cost and fee analysis, proposal and review project billing. Manage project budget to clients expectations and project parameters


Coordinate and collaborate with outside design professionals retained to provide consulting services


Ensure Principal is briefed on all design presentation materials prior to design meetings with clients Schedule and lead project updates with client


Maintain and participate in reoccurring design times with Principal and Design Team to continually drive their assigned projects forward


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • High-end luxury residential experience with projects exceeding a $500,000 budget and 8,000+ square feet in size.

  • Proven track record of completing long-term projects spanning 1-3 years from start to finish.

  • Demonstrate exemplary project management skills, emphasizing leadership, excellent communication, and organized management of interior design projects.

  • Strong interior architecture experience, including drafting, project management administration, and furnishing experience.

  • Proficiency in FF&E and millwork detailing, with a demonstrated understanding of showroom operations and design center navigation.

  • Technical skills in AutoCAD

  • Portfolios that resonate with the Mead Quin design aesthetic, ensuring a harmonious fit within our team.

  • Consistent experience leading a small team of at least two other designers for a minimum of 3-5 years.

  • A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a relevant field.


Location: East Bay (near Bay Bridge)


Hours: Full-Time, M-F 9am-5pm,


FLSA Determination: Exempt


Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Design Director
