Purpose:

The Senior Inspector Support III (Incoming) will physically handle, process and inspect incoming material at Comtech Satellite Network Technology incorporated and provide coverage for Receiving or Shipping on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Unload delivery trucks including manual moving of boxes and forklift driving.

• Process incoming material through the computer system while performing quantitative and manufacturing number verifications.

• Perform detailed inspections utilizing various inspection tools and documentation.

• Communicate effectively with internal customers from all departments as well as supplier contacts.

• Conduct all required MRP transactions maintaining a high accuracy level.

• Route material to various locations throughout all buildings on campus.

• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment within a high-volume receiving area.

• Perform all the functions of an Inspector Receiving consistently and accurately for a minimum period of one year or equivalent work experience.

• Other duties may be assigned with additional qualifications as needed.

Skills:

• Able to perform cosmetic and physical inspections including dimensional verifications using standard gauges and tools based on established procedures, workmanship guidelines and other documentation.

• Experience with bare PCB inspection.

• Electronic Component Identification.

• Demonstrated working practice of RoHS, ESD and ITAR requirements.

• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions to carry out assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to write detailed correspondence effectively communicating inspection findings.

• Available to work overtime, including weekends as necessary to meet customer and manufacturing demands for on time shipments.

• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to suppliers and other employees of the organization.

• Experience using a personal computer and have a working knowledge of Microsoft software including Windows & Office

• Knowledge of various freight carriers such as FedEx, UPS and DHL.

Requirements:

• Preferred two years' experience working in a high-volume electronic manufacturing environment.

• Current or ability to attain IPC J-STD-001, IPC-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.

• Must have current certification on forklifts or equivalent work experience.

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing team environment, behave in a professional manner avoiding conflict and providing exceptional internal and external customer service.

• Should be able to dead lift up to 35 lbs. Freight carriers may deliver boxes that could weigh in excess of 100 lbs. where a 2-person lift may be required.

• Receivers occasionally move pallets weighing up to 1500 lbs. with a manual pallet jack. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent education.
