Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have advanced networking skills, extensive experience with server and datacenter management, and a strong background in the Microsoft technology stack. The candidate should possess ITIL experience and hold information security credentials. Additionally, the candidate should act as a coach and mentor to junior staff. Type: Full-Time

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Oversee server and datacenter operations, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Utilize Microsoft technologies to support and enhance the IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 standards and regulations.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and architect IT solutions as well as lead technical projects.
  • Advanced networking skills, including experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Extensive experience with server and datacenter management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Hyper-V, SQL server clusters, docker containers/docker swarm, SCCM, SCOM, data protection manager.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL version 4 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) foundation certification
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions
Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with management, system users and vendors.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
