Job Description The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of network observability and monitoring solutions across the organization's infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring network systems' high availability, performance, and security in both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with deep expertise in network technologies and observability tools, capable of guiding a team to optimize and maintain robust network operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Network Design & Implementation: Lead the architecture, configuration, and optimization of network systems, ensuring high performance and resilience across the organization's infrastructure.
- Network Observability: Implement and manage network monitoring solutions to maintain real-time visibility into network health, availability, and performance.
- Cloud & On-Prem Integration: Oversee and optimize both on-premises and cloud networking infrastructures, ensuring seamless operation in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Provide expert-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization for network systems, including configuration and performance tuning.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, best practices, and ensuring consistent quality in network engineering operations.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure network systems adhere to security policies and best practices, protecting the integrity and confidentiality of the infrastructure.
- Automation & Tools: Use network automation tools and scripting languages to streamline processes and improve network operational efficiency.
Preferred Skills: - Network Equipment Expertise: Extensive experience with Cisco and Arista routers and switches, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Cloud Networking: Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, with hands-on experience working in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Network Observability: Proficiency in network monitoring tools and techniques, capable of implementing end-to-end observability solutions.
- Software-Defined Networking (SDN): Solid knowledge of SDN technologies and their application in modern infrastructures.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to improve network performance.
- Network Automation: Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for optimizing network operations.
Requirements Recommended Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years of industry experience in network engineering.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert), Arista ACE (Arista Certified Engineering), or similar certifications are preferred.
- IT Service Management (ITSM): Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks is advantageous.
- Automation Tools: Experience with network automation and configuration management tools such as Python and Ansible.
Education: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
