WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Office of Strategic Partnerships-Low Code Governance and Administration (LCGA) is currently seeking an expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Low-Code solutions built using the Power Platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and logical skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Leading efforts to create robust AI systems that effectively address customer needs and align with strategic business goals.
- Implementing, testing and prompting techniques to maximize performance and enhance user experiences.
- Upholding stringent security protocols and ensuring compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices and organizational policies.
- Thoroughly documenting methodologies, models, and results to ensure consistency, transparency, and ease of understanding for all stakeholders.
- Communicating insights, findings, and technical details clearly across teams to facilitate informed decision-making and promote a culture of shared knowledge.
- Develop applications using Microsoft Power Platform technology, including Power Apps, Power Automate, RPA, Power Pages, and Co-Pilot Studio.
- Design intelligent workflows by integrating AI capabilities into existing systems, focusing on low-code/no-code approaches where applicable.
- Implement automation and intelligent process optimization using AI-enhanced workflows, leveraging tools like Power Automate and custom integrations.
- Explore new AI features within Power Platform, such as AI Builder updates or enhancements in Copilot capabilities and apply them to solve emerging business challenges.
What You'll Be Doing The role is critical for the organization to develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge AI technology and to provide support to various departments.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Architect and Design AI and LLM Solutions: Develop and implement AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions designed to meet specific business needs while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Drive the Development of Scalable AI Capabilities: Lead efforts to create robust AI systems that effectively address customer needs while aligning with strategic business goals.
- End-to-End Model Lifecycle Management: Design, test, and deploy AI models, including LLMs, with a focus on creating reliable pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
- Integrate Cutting-Edge AI Technologies: Enhance LLM functionalities by incorporating advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), function calling, and code interpreter capabilities.
- Foster Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay informed on the latest advancements in AI, driving ongoing improvements in methodologies and incorporating innovative practices throughout the organization.
- Evaluate Model Performance and Business Impact: Conduct thorough assessments of LLMs to measure their effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives, identifying areas for optimization.
- Optimize LLM Strategies and Workflows: Implement, test, and refine various LLM application flows and prompting techniques to maximize performance and enhance user experiences.
- Ensure Security and Compliance Standards: Uphold stringent security protocols and ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
- Maintain Comprehensive Documentation: Document methodologies, models, and results thoroughly, ensuring consistency, transparency, and ease of understanding for all stakeholders.
- Facilitate Knowledge Sharing and Decision-Making: Communicate insights, findings, and technical details clearly across teams, enabling informed decision-making and fostering a culture of shared knowledge.
- Build Solutions using Low Code Platform: Build apps using Power Apps, Model-Driven Apps, build external web applications using Power Pages, automate processes using RPA, Power Automate and build chatbots using Co-Pilot Studio.

Minimum Qualifications Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience in the information technology field in areas such cloud infrastructure, LLM model APIs, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and Microsoft Power Platform.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university, or certifications in specific programming languages or operating systems may be required, depending on the duties of the position.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. For applicants possessing very hard to find skills which are a critical need to the department/agency, training and certification may be accepted in lieu of full degree requirements.
Preferred Criteria, Interview Preferences All Applicants will be reviewed by the Office of Human Resources (OHR) for minimum qualifications. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated "Qualified," placed on the Referred List, and may be considered for an interview.
Preference for interviews will be given to applicants with experience in the following:
- Microsoft Power Platform and AI Integration: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform components, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio. Experience with AI Builder for low-code/no-code AI integrations and custom Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions.
- AI and Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Azure AI tools such as AzureAI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, Power Platform AI Builder, and Azure AI Search, coupled with cloud infrastructure knowledge for AI/ML applications.
- Programming and Development: Proficiency in Python for developing AI applications and data engineering solutions, with capabilities in designing custom workflows and enhancing app functionality.
- LLM and Generative AI Frameworks: Expertise in leveraging LLM model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Prompt Flow. Skilled in prompt engineering for conversational AI, content generation, and agentic workflows.
- Generative AI Analysis and Security: Experience in optimizing generative AI outputs, analyzing LLM responses for bias, developing evaluation metrics, and adhering to security best practices, including data protection and model safety.
- Advanced AI Solutions: Familiarity with multi-agent systems for complex problem-solving and expertise in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to combine generative AI with external knowledge bases.
