Description Join the Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos as a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer. Responsibilities: - Security Design and Implementation: Develop and maintain robust security solutions in a hybrid Azure cloud environment, ensuring alignment with DoD, NIST, and RMF standards.
- System Hardening: Implement measures to strengthen systems against potential threats, including network devices, servers, and cloud components.
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, update security policies, and establish security controls to mitigate risks effectively.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to federal and military standards such as FISMA, RMF, and DISA STIGs. Play a key role in audits and ATO processes.
- Incident Response: Actively engage in incident response planning and execution, managing security incidents in cloud environments.
- Documentation: Create detailed security documentation, including system security plans and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and software developers to embed security into all IT operations.
- Continuous Monitoring: Design and manage monitoring strategies to quickly identify and respond to security issues.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to secure TS/SCI clearance.
- Minimum of 4 years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in cloud security, ideally Azure.
- Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- CISSP, CISM, or a similar security certification is required.
- Azure security certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desired.
- Proficient in Azure security services like Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure AD, and Azure Information Protection.
- Strong knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and encryption technologies.
- Experience scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
