This role involves working within a high-performing agile team that leverages the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support complex programs. You'll adhere to DEVOPS best practices to manage system security architecture and cyber security capabilities across various environments. You'll also manage system security plans in compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) while supporting Security Verification Testing for relevant systems.

Your contributions will help enhance capabilities for complex systems with precise performance and security requirements. Engage in diverse tasks that include:
  • Validating security requirements and designing architectures for large, complex systems across a geographically distributed network.
  • Implementing robust security architectures and ensuring adherence to security policies.
  • Developing technical solutions based on the current and desired security architecture.
  • Identifying and mitigating security threats throughout the program life cycle.
  • Leading security assessments and risk management planning.
  • Collaborating effectively with various technical teams and communicating critical security issues to stakeholders.
  • Participating in Agile team activities and program planning sessions.
  • Coordinating with System and Test Engineering teams to align security requirements throughout the development process.
  • Assessing system implementations against security compliance policies and recommending improvements.
  • Performing security audits and configuration assessments using established methodologies.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in security architecture to internal teams and external partners.
  • Supporting risk assessments, continuous monitoring, and other information assurance functions.
  • Conducting security testing and evaluations of critical software and components.
Basic Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field and at least 15 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degrees).
  • Solid understanding of security policies and hands-on vulnerability testing experience.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework application.
  • Proficiency in formulating and assessing IT security policies.
  • Keen knowledge of common security tools and practices, including Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark.
  • Experience with secure configurations for desktop and server operating systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously within various configurations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to adopting best practices in security.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of experience with Defense in Depth principles and risk assessment methodologies.
  • DoD 8570 compliance at IASAE Level 2 or 3.
  • Certifications such as Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Experience in security services management processes, including network penetration testing.
  • Experience supporting application development and security certifications.
  • Familiarity with penetration testing tools and scripting languages.
