The Role

Engineers are expected to identify and design solutions for issues involving: new features, interoperability, vulnerability, system limits and constraints facing the platforms and products. In addition, engineers are responsible to evaluate current capabilities and predict future needs, then work with internal stakeholders, vendors and peers to anticipate, define, and pursue these capabilities.

A successful engineer is a strong communicator and relationship builder, who uses soft skills to persuade stakeholders to: achieve consensus, obtain commitment, and take action. The engineer is a de-facto leader in the organization and is committed to directly mentoring junior engineers and technicians, while consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with our core values.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering, design, and implementation of (Public Key Infrastructure) PKI solutions and Active Directory certificate services. This includes the deployment of new software solutions as required by the business.
  • Serve as the escalation point for PKI and Active Directory support and troubleshooting. Provide guidance and direction in resolving escalated issues and complex production, application, or system problems.
  • Manage the lifecycle of certificates, including issuance, renewal, and reporting on enterprise and solution certificate status.
  • Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs and verify the completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain and PKI technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting step.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Collaborate with project and support teams to follow through on global initiatives related to Active Directory and PKI.
  • Assess operational business processes to ensure security is appropriately integrated.
  • Assess potential risks with new applications and products and provide security requirements and recommendations for risk mitigation to help the business succeed with their projects.
  • Directly engages in advanced troubleshooting and delivery with stakeholders, including end customers.
  • Consult as security subject matter expert with network architects, engineers, and others on solutions to security problems.
  • Recommend new information security systems and controls to mitigate emerging threats and risks across the company.
  • Ensure reports and findings are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner to management, operations and executive leadership.
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues and ensure the availability and reliability of PKI and Active Directory services
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years Windows Server Active Directory Experience
  • 4 years Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Experience
  • 4 years Hardware Security Module (HSM) Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to gain General Services Administration (GSA) suitability clearance
Preferred:
  • Hold GSA suitability clearance
  • Master's Degree
  • Knowledge of Amazon Cloud (AWS)
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP)
  • Ability and commitment to communicate effectively, consistently chooses communication methods to ensure critical information reaches and persuades intended audience.
  • Uses strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships with stakeholders and peers
  • Possesses leadership qualities and persuades stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
