We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Information Assurance (IA) Team Lead / Program Manager to lead a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) supporting Information Assurance activities for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This key personnel position plays a critical leadership role in supporting NNSA OCIO initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements, and maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational oversight, manage resources, and serve as a liaison between Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and the Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR). The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in cybersecurity and information assurance, along with proven leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities Manages the design, implementation of information technology infrastructure, including computer application systems, computer and communication systems, network and related systems. Manages the hardware and software inventory and procurement. Develops analytical and reporting tools, feasibility studies, and recommendations for enhancements to the information technology infrastructure and its supporting hardware and software. Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies. Typically requires BA and 5-7 years. Qualifications Lead and manage the IA Team, including ISSOs, the ISSM, and support to the AODR.
Oversee the allocation and management of IA resources in alignment with mission requirements and federal cybersecurity standards.
Support the development, organization, and communication of internal cybersecurity processes in compliance with federal mandates, contractual obligations, and audit requirements.
Ensure daily operations align with the goals and expectations of the NNSA OCIO and Federal stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support in maintaining system security plans, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring strategies.
Facilitate coordination across functional teams and ensure timely responses to audits, assessments, and security events.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of IA processes and support a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
Active professional certification as defined in DoD 8140 (e.g., CISM, CISSP, or equivalent).
Prior experience leading cybersecurity teams, preferably focused on InformationAssurance.
Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
Proven ability to manage teams in high-stakes, fast-paced environments.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience supporting federal agencies, preferably within DOE or NNSA.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) or NNSA Information Assurance initiatives.
Familiarity with DOE cybersecurity requirements and stakeholder environments.
Additional cybersecurity or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CEH, GSLC).
