We are delighted to be working with the Glasgow division of our client as they look to enhance their current Technology team with a highly experienced Incident Manager.
The right candidate will be responsible for leading the response to critical incidents across our IT operations, platforms, and applications, ensuring rapid resolution, minimal business impact, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards. As our client is within financial services, we can only consider candidates with extensive experience within this sector - either in an internal Incident Manager capacity or as a third-party service provider managing services for their FS client base.
This role is crucial in maintaining system resilience, stakeholder trust, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, commercial environment. A significant part of this role involves stakeholder engagement across the business, up to the Executive level, working closely to keep the CIO and wider Executive stakeholder group informed of incidents, resolutions, and potential risks. We are seeking someone with a technical background who has progressed into a leadership or senior technology role. A broad experience in technology, including software, is advantageous, as this role will involve working across a mixture of third-party solutions and bespoke platforms. The core skills required for this role include:
- Extensive background in Incident Management
- In-depth experience of Incident Management within a regulated Financial Service environment
- Proven track record leading Major Incidents, including guiding teams through root cause analysis
- Experience working within an ITSM/ITIL environment
- Logical thinking with proven incident and crisis management experience, senior stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement skills
- Regulatory and risk experience within a regulated Financial Services business, ensuring incident documentation and actions comply with internal risk frameworks and external regulatory expectations
- Mentoring and leadership skills - playing a key role in coaching the wider team on incident management, promoting best practices in operational resilience, and helping to mature the incident management framework
- Ability to work within commuting distance to Glasgow for on-site work
