HAWM Law seeks to add an Immigration Paralegal to join our rapidly growing firm. If you are an experienced paralegal with a passion for immigration law and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients, we want to hear from you.


Paralegal Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and file family-based immigration petitions, including I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and I-601 waivers
  • Handle applications for naturalization (N-400), adjustment of status and consular processing
  • Prepare filings and supporting documentation for clients in removal proceedings, including but not limited to cancellation of removal, motions, and EOIR filings
  • Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication to gather information and provide case updates
  • Draft legal documents
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files using legal case management software
  • Assist attorneys in preparation for immigration court hearings and USCIS interviews
  • Monitor deadlines and case progress to ensure timely filings

Paralegal Requirements:


  • Required
  • Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an Associate Degree in paralegal studies.
  • 3 to 5 years of solid experience in immigration law, with an emphasis on family-based immigration, removal defense, and naturalization
  • Strong knowledge of USCIS, EOIR, and consular processing procedures
  • Exceptional writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with immigration case management systems (e.g., Docketwise, Smokeball, etc.)

  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Works well in a team collaborative environment.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus but not required.
