Small start-up in the San Mateo area seeking a factional HR Consultant to support them 20 hours a month.
This role would be long-term and the client is targeting someone to work onsite 2-days a month and the rest of the hours could be completed remotely.
Company has 8 employees all located in California.
Pay is DOE but up to $100/hr (Ideal budget for the client is $80/hr)
Projects will include but are no limited to:
- Leading new employee onboarding and experience
- Support the maintenance of the Rippling system
- HR Compliance
- Support all HR Communication for the organization
- Support recruitment: (follow-up with short-listed candidates, HR screening like background check and culture fit, etc):
- Proficiency with Pinpoint or similar product
- Review of Employment letters and maintaining onboarding and termination documents for Rippling
- Check mail (EDD, example of letter from IRS today, etc.) and route to appropriate person if needed
- Liaison with Accounting on payroll questions and CEO on performance review.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of broad Human Resources experience
- Strategic and Hands-on: Able to set a vision and roadmap, whilst at the same time translating those into actions and deliverables
- Define and build a talent strategy to help us attract and retain the best talent
- Broad management skill set including strategic planning, risk management, conflict-management, and stakeholder management
- Ability to work 2-days onsite in the San Mateo office
- Ability and interest in working 20 hours a week monthly long-term
