Job Summary: The perfect candidate will work as a Senior Hardware Test Engineer focused on hardware testing of development and production cabinets, specifically handling medium to high voltage testing and developing test procedures. They will also collaborate with technicians on the floor to review and write test procedures, requiring experience in power conversion and generation, as well as Department of Defense (DOD) experience. Even Simpler: This job is for someone who tests electrical equipment used in making power, like big batteries or generators. They will check how these machines work safely when there is a lot of electricity and write directions for others to do these tests. Skill and education:
• Hardware testing: The process of evaluating physical components such as circuits or devices to ensure they function correctly under specified conditions.
• Medium Voltage: Refers to electrical systems operating between 1 kV and 35 kV, commonly used in industrial applications.
• High Voltage testing: Involves checking electrical equipment that operates at voltages higher than typical domestic levels, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Test procedure development: Creating detailed instructions for conducting tests on equipment or systems to verify their performance.
• Power conversion: The process of changing electrical energy from one form to another, such as from AC to DC.
• Power generation: Producing electricity from various sources like wind, solar, hydroelectric, or fossil fuels.
• DOD Experience: Familiarity with standards and practices required by the Department of Defense for working on defense-related projects.
