Senior Group Sales Manager The MC Hotel, Autograph Collection Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 The Senior Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating group revenue within a defined market segment by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating long-term client relationships, and executing a strategic, service-focused approach to sales. This role plays a critical part in supporting the hotel's overall commercial strategy, collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure the seamless execution of group business and consistently high levels of client satisfaction. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset, strong industry knowledge, and a commitment to Marriott's standards of excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Proactively generate new group business through networking, cold-calling, referrals, and client visits.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and sales blitzes to increase visibility and demand.
- Design and implement strategic marketing campaigns, including direct mail, email, and social media outreach.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Coordinate with Operations, Revenue Management, and Events to ensure flawless execution of group stays and events.
- Provide regular market updates, forecasting insights, and competitive analysis.
- Uphold Marriott brand standards and service excellence at every client touchpoint.
- Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: 4+ years in group sales at a 200+ room full-service hotel OR bachelor's degree in hospitality/business and 5+ years of hotel sales experience.
- Marriott Experience Preferred: Familiarity with systems like CI/TY, OneSource, SalesPro, and MARSHA is a plus.
- Proven track record in prospecting, account development, and exceeding sales targets.
- Polished communicator with strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a results-driven, collaborative environment.
