Job Summary We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Senior Graphic Designer - Packaging with 5+ years of experience in packaging design. The ideal candidate will bring strong layout and mechanical skills, experience with press checks, and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and 2D renderings. Experience with Adobe Dimension, ESKO, and TAG systems is a plus. This role demands strong collaboration with marketing, product, and manufacturing teams, and requires thriving under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Package Design & Execution
Create both 2D and 3D renderings for product packaging
Develop detailed mechanicals: layout artwork, ensure industry compliance, prep files for suppliers
Understand and apply printing processes including Pantone, foil stamping, and other deco treatments
Attend and contribute to press checks to ensure visual and technical accuracy
Use tools such as TAG and ESKO for artwork uploads, approvals, and file management
Creative Development
Conceptualize and execute designs for secondary packaging
Build compelling mood boards to convey visual direction
Stay updated on design trends to inform packaging innovation
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Development, Manufacturing)
Work with external suppliers to execute packaging to specification and quality standards
Project Management & Quality Control
Ensure all designs are error-free and meet brand, regulatory, and quality standards
Deliver projects within tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
Proactively identify and solve design or process roadblocks
Follow brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries when appropriate
Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor†s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in packaging or graphic design with a strong portfolio
- High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dimension
- Strong command of layout and mechanicals preparation for production
- Excellent 2D rendering skills; 3D rendering or Rhino/SolidWorks experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to spot errors in artwork and proofs
- Comfortable navigating fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to present creative concepts
- Organized and self-motivated, with strong time management skills
- Experience using TAG and/or ESKO a strong plus
Preferred Skills - Background in formulation packaging, beauty, CPG, or luxury goods a plus
- Adobe After Effects or motion graphic skills are beneficial
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and trends
