The National Security Space Business Area of Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an experienced, creative, and high energy Software Engineer with recent and relevant skills.

You will be designing state-of-the-art concepts while delivering innovative capabilities in a new and emerging mission area GPS satellite payload initiatives. You will be working on a mission that you can be proud of, knowing that you are making a lasting difference in the world and in the Space domain.
The selected candidate will serve as a Software Developer on a team tasked with developing and integrating a variety of software components using C to support the development of Software Defined Radio and programmable satellite payloads. Our developers are empowered to sign up for work that interest them and have an opportunity to demo their work to external stakeholders.
Candidates must be passionate about their trade, insist on product quality and focused on customer mission success. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills and be willing to engage in frequent interactions with peers, teammates, and customers in other geographical locations.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in software development using C/C , Java and Python languages (3 years minimum experience)
Working knowledge of the Agile Manifesto and agile frameworks, experience working on functional agile teams
While not required to start, a security clearance is necessary in order to meet the requirements of the program/customer, the selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of GPS Systems and Satellite Constellations and related supporting concepts.
-Demonstrated ability and desire to be self-sufficient and apply critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex hardware/software problems
- Ability to travel within the US up to 25%
- Experience with digital signal processing, RF systems and
related test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzers,
oscilloscopes)
- Experience integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)
hardware devices into software based systems
C/C Programming languages
- Server Operations Systems, including RedHat Linux
- Design Patterns and Architecture
- Development/Scripting tools VS Code, Bash
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
