Job Description As the
Senior Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing - Marketing, you will lead strategic sourcing activities for Marketing with potential to increase scope as the business needs change. You will work closely with global business/functional leaders across all Fortune Brands to develop & implement sourcing strategies that would effectively reduce the total cost of ownership of category spend, leveraging world-class negotiation skills, tools, and processes. You will lead the transformations in collaboration with our stakeholders of all impacted organizational functions.
Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the Marketing category that align with the company's overall business objectives and marketing goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders in the Marketing department to understand their needs, provide strategic sourcing guidance, and drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess consolidation strategies to ensure the best value for the company in marketing services and marketing tech stack.
- Industry Trends and Technology: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing technology, including digital marketing strategies, customer data analytics, and marketing automation.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, improve procurement processes, and implement industry best practices.
- Demand Management and Cost Optimization: Develop and execute effective sourcing and demand management strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership of Marketing.
- Strategic Partnership: Partner with key stakeholders and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, business objectives, supply requirements, and priorities.
- Project Pipeline Management: Build and manage project pipeline through category expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and buy-in.
- Procurement Strategy and Compliance: Develop, communicate, and implement procurement strategies, compliance and achieve stakeholders' business requirements.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in indirect sourcing, with a focus on the marketing category.
- Proven experience in managing people and leading sourcing initiatives.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier management, market analysis, brand channels, and consolidation strategies.
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer data analytics, and marketing automation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives within the marketing space.
Additional Information Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $81,000 USD - $124,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
