We are a rapidly growing venture-backed startup solving critical clinical operations challenges within health systems across the country. Our first product enables health systems to optimize how they schedule and deploy nursing staff to align with real-time patient demand. In less than 10 months, we have signed contracts with over 20 hospitals and raised $7M from investors including Y Combinator and leading hospital executives.
Our engineering team is comprised of former founders and startup veterans who are passionate about building impactful solutions to healthcare's most urgent problems.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development of product features that drive rapid iteration, scalability, and innovation.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across the stack.
- Work directly with customers to gather feedback and guide product improvements.
- Balance trade-offs between speed, technical debt, user experience, and reliability.
- Integrate our platform with EHR systems to access patient census and acuity data.
- Develop cost-optimization algorithms to streamline hospital staffing based on real-time needs.
- Seamlessly integrate with hospital workforce management tools without disrupting mission-critical software.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 4-8 years of professional experience working across the stack in fast-paced environments.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Postgres.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup (preferably Seed to Series B, Tier 1 VC-backed).
- Demonstrated end-to-end product ownership and impact-orientation.
- Track record of thriving in low-ego, highly collaborative teams.
- Experience building enterprise software or high-performance web applications.
- Excited to work onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred
- Founding engineer or former founder experience.
- Background working with sync engines (e.g., Zero, Replicache) or Bun.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from a top U.S. university.
- YC company experience is a big plus.
- Strong GitHub side projects, open-source contributions.
- Strong signals of excellence (promotions, leadership roles, notable projects).

- Base Salary: $180,000 - $220,000
