Senior Full Stack Engineer
About the Company:
Our client is a pre-seed startup that is ready to bring on a full stack engineer to supercharge their core product. They're pioneering a niche solution that automates the complex, time-consuming sales process in HVAC and construction equipment. With a founding team that has deep expertise and connections in this industry, they are uniquely positioned to make a significant impact. In terms of traction they are in the midst of raising a significant second round, have an increasingly high volume of client acquisition, and exponential month over month revenue growth.
We are looking for an engineer with hands-on experience building user-facing fullstack applications, meaning that you have substantial experience in both frontend and backend
- Experience building MVPs from start to finish and 0-1 developer experience is a major plus
- Early stage startup experience is also a priority for this role
Location Requirements:
Given this startup is in pre-seed stage, this role is fully in person. Candidates must be based in NYC.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Development: Design and implement modern, responsive websites, focusing on front-end user experience while seamlessly integrating with back-end services and APIs.
- AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with AI engineers to implement and maintain AI solutions in production.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and scale applications on AWS or GCP, optimizing for performance and reliability.
- DevOps Practices: Set up CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and version control workflows.
- Collaboration & Ownership: Participate in architectural decisions, system design, and ensure successful project delivery.
Required Technical Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant field
- Experience: 4+ years in full-stack development, ideally with some exposure to AI/ML projects.
- Demonstrated TypeScript / JavaScript experience
- Extensive experience and expertise in React
- Expertise in cloud services, mainly AWS or GCP, very important as the team uses a lot of cloud services
