We're looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help build and improve Grain's user experiences, with a focus on speed, innovation, and leveraging AI tools to drive productivity.
In this role, you'll have a significant impact on our product experience while working in a fast-paced environment that values shipping features quickly and efficiently.

Grain automates call recording, note-taking, and all the post-call busywork and analysis so teams can spend their time where it matters most.
Sales, Customer Success, and product development teams all use Grain to turn their customer conversations into outputs that move work forward.

What you'll do at Grain
- Build high-quality, responsive front-end experiences for our desktop app
- Effectively use AI tools to increase productivity and development speed
- Collaborate with product and design teams to implement new features rapidly
- Continuously improve application performance and user experience
- Balance speed and quality, prioritizing shipping features over perfect code
- Maintain and improve our front-end architecture and component libraries
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team
- Stay current with front-end technologies and best practices
- Suggest tools we can adopt to improve our product, velocity, quality, and team performance
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- 5 years of front-end development experience
- Experience with React and modern front-end frameworks
- Proven ability to deliver features quickly and efficiently
- Experience using AI tools to enhance development workflows
- Comfort with AI-generated code and iterative improvement processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
While not required, it's an added plus if you also have
- Experience with TypeScript
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
- Experience with GraphQL
- Background in video or audio processing applications
- Worked at a PLG/self-serve SaaS company
- Entrepreneurial or startup experience
- Experience optimizing front-end performance
