Team Overview: The Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team is responsible for many of Capital One's crucial enterprise platforms. We set the standard for building technology solutions across the organization and deliver capabilities that reflect those standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a talented team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Engage in software development focusing on Front End Applications using a test-driven development approach.
- Lead the technical design and development of versatile, multi-platform application systems.
- Stay ahead of technology trends, explore new technologies, engage in tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and empower millions of Americans financially.
- Utilize programming languages including JavaScript (React, Angular, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and Java, along with open-source frameworks and RESTful web services, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not count).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of expertise in one or more of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java.
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud services.
- 3+ years working with open source frameworks.
- 2+ years of engagement with Agile practices.
Location: This role can be based in McLean, VA with a salary range of $158,600 - $181,000 or in Richmond, VA with a salary range of $144,200 - $164,600.
