As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in driving significant transformation across the company.
Your Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a skilled team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and comprehensive full-stack systems.
- Develop Front End Applications using a test-driven development approach.
- Take charge of the technical design and development of cross-platform, multi-functional application systems.
- Share your enthusiasm for staying ahead of technology trends, exploring new technologies, engaging in tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineering team members.
- Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans towards financial success.
- Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript (including Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, open-source frameworks, and work across various browsers and devices.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internships do not count).
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree.
- 7+ years of expertise in one or more of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 1+ years of experience in a people management role.
- 2+ years of familiarity with Agile methodologies.
This position is based in Chicago, IL, with a salary range of $175,800 - $200,700 for Lead Software Engineers. Candidates in other locations will have salaries reflective of their specific market. This role may also offer performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
