The Senior Fraud Risk Oversight Associate (Sr. Associate, Operational Risk) is responsible for providing sound risk management through data driven decisions.
Oversees digital bank build/run activities and payment hub integration and operationalization activities including review and challenge of business requirements, development stories, test case results, development defects, operational readiness documentation, production incidents, Issue Management, New Products and Business Activities, and Risk Control Self-Assessment.
Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas, with a focus on online banking. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitoring systems.
Imparts effective review and challenge of fraud strategy, design, implementation, and execution
Ensures a robust set of standards and policy exist which depict key risks of processing online bank transactions and the controls necessary to be successful
Identifies ad hoc data, reporting and analytics which will not only detect fraud but also clearly depict risk compared to appetite
Analyzes various types of fraud as well as reviews fraud strategies, evaluates fraud trends, explains fraud losses, identifies and assists with the closure of gaps and related deliverables
Recommends, develops and implements risk capabilities necessary that utilize processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing and preventing fraud to effectively mitigate risk
Executes and manages the development of procedures, ongoing maintenance of controls, mitigation plans, testing, and risk assessments
Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company.
Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies.
Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies.
Performs fraud risk assessments on both function and processes existing within the Line of Business to identify areas of opportunity to mitigate fraud impacts and to be in compliance with the risk framework requirements.
Builds relationships with internal and external business partners and industry peers to facilitate information-sharing opportunities and identification of best practices in regards to fraud risk.
Oversees data models to support business unit analytics and performance management.

Strong risk management principles, methodologies and tools, governance principles and activity preferably in a financial services technology environment.
Strong knowledge of workflow/processes and risks/controls, including payment origination and related payment hub and system integrations.
Deep knowledge of digital fraud risks and prevention, detection, recovery and deterrence techniques relating to both existing and anticipated threats.
Familiarity with industry digital fraud solutions and able to formulate and bring recommendations to the business.
Strong risk, process, and control validation and/or assessment skills.
Ability to handle conflict resolution with other groups to ensure appropriate accounting guidance is followed.
Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
Ability to act with a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.
Ability to effectively interact with senior management and vendors as necessary.
Ability to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and competing priorities.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
