• Define and document functional requirements.
• Design, simulate, and implement FPGA-based digital signal processing, such as baseband signal processing.
• Develop FPGA-based circuit card assemblies using schematic capture.
• Build and test hardware prototypes utilizing oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
• Coordinate and define software tasks related to hardware-software interfaces in FPGA-based circuit card assemblies. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Xilinx FPGA design flows, including ISE and Vivado, with VHDL design expertise.
• Extensive experience with FPGA design processes, including simulation, synthesis, implementation, and timing closure.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx 7 series devices.
• Expertise in FPGA-based real-time DSP implementation, including decimation/interpolation filters, fractional delay filters, asynchronous sample rate conversion, NCO, Hilbert transforms, FFT, and waveform generation.
• Knowledge of FPGA hardware interfaces for RF sampling and waveform generation using A/D and D/A converters.
• Experience with FPGA-based high-speed memory and bus interfaces such as PCIe and DDR3.
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction (e.g., Linux host/PCIe endpoint).
• Active DoD-issued Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with RF system design, particularly high-power or high-speed communication transmissions.
• MATLAB/Simulink modeling of signal processing systems, with the ability to convert high-level models into FPGA implementations.
• Proficiency in high-level programming (C) and the ability to develop simple software applications for FPGA testing in a Linux environment.
