Senior FP&A Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance leader to join our team as Financial & Client Reporting Manager. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, and establishing a consistent approach to report and enhance client profitability to promote data-driven decision making across the Company. This individual will be a key partner to senior management, working closely with the Global Controller, Director of Shared Services and Senior Manager, Financial Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Responsible for all consolidated FP&A deliverables, you will oversee the consolidation and preparation of accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring US GAAP compliance.
  • Manage the financial close, ensuring timely and accurate submission and presentation of consolidated financials, budgets and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable insights to local office and global leadership.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management meeting all reporting deadlines.
  • Update standardized reporting templates and build out interactive dashboards, working with the Senior Manager, Financial Systems, on design and implementation. These reports should include key metrics, trend analysis, and comparisons to benchmarks or targets that allow users to drill down into specific account level, client or project data.
  • Improve financial reporting processes and systems, constantly looking for areas to automate and refine data collection and report generation.
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of financial analysts fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.

Client Profitability Reporting:

  • Develop and implement a consistent client profitability reporting framework. This includes defining key metrics (e.g., gross profit margin, net profit margin, return on client investment, client lifetime value), establishing data collection processes, and selecting appropriate software or tools (e.g., project management software with ERP integrations).
  • Establish data validation procedures, working with the Senior Manager, Financial Systems, on system-level validation and hygiene. Regularly review and update the system and process.
  • Encourage and support a culture of data-driven decision making across the Company.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, and/or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in the progression of client finance or accounting positions with a focus on project accounting and client profitability.
  • Experience with Power BI, project management and timesheet reporting systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at influencing internal stakeholders at all levels.
