Acutronic is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of fluid systems within gas turbine engines, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and performance. Our ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant experience in designing advanced gas-turbine systems and components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of aerospace and power industries.
Senior Fuid Systems Engineer Your Roles/Responsibilities: - Design advanced gas-turbine systems and components with a focus on dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer, applied to small-scale turbine systems
- Perform sizing and selection of critical fluid system components such as precision orifices, solenoids/valves, pumps, drives, fluid channels/tubing, etc.
- Prepare, review, and approve fluid system schematics, calculations, models, Bills of Material, and acceptance test work instructions
- Prepare and present design review materials
- Prepare acceptance test procedures and writes system manuals
- Interfaces with customers during the design process and provides customer support after delivery
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, required
- A minimum of seven years of experience in a related engineering environment, required
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience with CFD and other fluid analysis software, ANSYS
- Experience with 3D CAD software, Siemens NX
