Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between financial reporting, operational accounting, and strategic financial planning. This hybrid role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys rolling up their sleeves in the details while also contributing to high-level financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and period-end close processes
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across business units
  • Partner with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and drive decision-making
  • Lead or support financial audits, including liaising with external auditors
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in M&A due diligence, financial modeling, and integration efforts (if applicable)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or MBA required
  • Big 4 public accounting experience required (minimum 2-4 years)
  • 5-8+ years of total experience in accounting, financial reporting, or FP&A roles
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday) and Excel modeling
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a Financial Services or FinTech environment
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting or SEC reporting (a plus)
  • Demonstrated success working in a hybrid or matrixed team structure
