Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in financial services or the service industry. This role is perfect for someone with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing financial insights and supporting decision-making processes to drive business growth and profitability. This position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic business decisions and long-term forecasting.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and create detailed financial forecasts.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure accurate and timely budget submissions and revisions.
- Analyze performance against budget and prior periods, providing actionable insights to management.
- Financial Strategy & Decision Support:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, marketing, sales) to provide financial insight and support for key business decisions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial justifications for new projects and investments.
- Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and reporting tools.
- Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
- Ad-Hoc Projects:
- Lead or participate in various financial analysis projects, including acquisitions, mergers, and new service offerings.
- Provide senior leadership with regular updates on key financial metrics and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the financial services or service industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven experience with financial analysis and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Excel, Power BI).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial functions) and experience with financial reporting software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
