Senior Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and expand our accounting functions
• Manage financial systems including Netsuite, accounts payable and receivable, employee reimbursements, and payroll
• Ensure the company's practices adhere to all policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Provide monthly finance updates
• Reconcile fashion sales with inventory tracking in Netsuite
• Manage Accounts Receivables
• Optimize financial processes, including accounting period close, regular reporting to business
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and timely generation of accurate financial statements
• Manage tax compliance and filings, including sales tax and state and federal income tax
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and controls
• Manage financial reporting to partners
• Manage financial audits
• Consistently analyze the business, trends, potential threats, mistakes, issues, etc, and communicating all of these to executive leadership team
• Prepare operating budgets and financial forecasts, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close.
• Manage monthly close processes.
• Analyze financial information, monitor budgeted versus actual expenditures and advise Brand President about variances.
• Recommend corrective actions to assure that budget goals are met.
• Reconcile monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, and bank accounts.
• Ensure timely accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare or supervise preparation of applicable federal, state and local tax returns.
• Assure that revenues are properly and correctly deposited and supervise the drawing of all checks.
• Onboard new employees into HR software.
• Handle expenses, reconciliation, and travel bookings for senior executive management.
• Handle all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Assist with outside accounting firm's year end inquiries surrounding income tax returns.
• Negotiate and administer employee benefits including health and life insurance.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• CPA License preferred
• 5+ years experience in an accounting role
• Expertises in Netsuite, Excel,
• Experience with ERP systems and other accounting applications for expense reimbursement, accounts payable, payroll, etc.
• Self-starter, proactive, ability to prioritize and shift focus with ease and flexibility
• Extremely detail oriented, diligent and thorough
• Start-up and high-growth company experience is a bonus but not a requirement
• Retail, jewelry and / or consumer products experience is a bonus but not a requirement
• Terrific prioritization and cross-functional relationship management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Netsuite, and Shopify
