Senior Field Service Engineer

Responsible for system build and set-up, upfront project activities, surveys, or small control and graphic modifications. Lead upgrades to DeltaV system, including development of the migration plan, migration of the DeltaV database and graphics, buildout of the DeltaV system, and onsite support. Perform server and networking design for virtual machines architectures (VRTX, VMware), meeting schedule and budget requirements. Advise project teams on building computers per design specifications. Engage in customer factory and site acceptance testing, performing system installations, supporting loop checkout, commissioning, and startup. Provide after-hours support for contract customers with scheduled, on-call 24/7 pager support, including performing remote diagnostic over the phone and on-site if needed. Perform periodic reviews of Proconex service contract customers systems, as defined in individual customer service agreements and per the Preventative Maintenance Standard Operation Procedure (SOP). Develop and deliver a system report for Proconex service contract customers within five days of a review. Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop and define opportunities for service work. Represent the field service team in project team meetings to establish customer rapport and consulting support. Ensure all open service tickets are resolved and closed.
This is an on-site position.
3 years of technical and systems engineering experience. Must have experience with: supporting the operational needs of plant automation systems including front-end architectural design, installation and commissioning, ongoing preventative and demand maintenance, and modernization planning; instrumentation; Distributed Control Systems; Windows-based software applications; DeltaV; DeltaV Mobile; AMS Device Manager; DeltaV backup and recovery; system design and documentation; system virtualization; I/O loop; BUS (Fieldbus, ASi, DeviceNet, and ProfiBus); wireless design and troubleshooting; and software integration between industrial automation systems.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
