Description

  • A senior estimator's primary responsibility is to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, and they often lead the preconstruction or estimating team:
  • Prepare estimates: Create budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for projects
  • Evaluate scope: Determine the project's scope of work
  • Develop financial summaries: Create financial summaries that stay within budget and time constraints
  • Collaborate with others: Work closely with engineers and designers to create estimates
  • Review estimates: Review estimates from architects and engineers
  • Respond to RFPs and RFQs: Respond to requests for proposals and requests for quotations
  • Attend pre-bid meetings: Attend pre-bid meetings
  • Request bids: Request bids from subcontractors
  • Negotiate with suppliers: Negotiate with materials suppliers


Profile

  • 5+ years experience as a construction Senior Estimator.
  • Ability to estimate conceptually
  • Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.

Job Offer
