Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Estimator located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and determining the resources required for each construction project. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, identifying potential cost-saving measures, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and preparing detailed cost analysis reports. The Senior Estimator will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Qualifications
- Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates and understanding construction project requirements
- Strong analytical, numerical, and estimating skills
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Relevant experience in the construction industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
