Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our construction projects, from inception to completion. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates and budgets for our diverse range of projects, including Industrial and Commercial buildings, Brownfield redevelopment, and ground-up construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, resource allocation, contract management, risk management, and construction estimating.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost models and estimates for industrial and commercial building projects, Brownfield redevelopment, and ground-up construction.
- Conduct site management and oversee all aspects of construction, including site work, restoration, and civil estimating.
- Develop strategic plans for resource allocation and cost control.
- Manage contracts, including bidding, negotiation, and execution.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Estimate by divisional AIA code and prepare change orders as necessary.
- Utilize Heavybid software for preconstruction planning and estimating.
- Work closely with the Commercial Glass department to understand and estimate costs associated with glass manufacturing.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction estimating techniques.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in industrial and commercial building, Brownfield redevelopment, strategic planning, resource allocation, contract management, risk management, and construction estimating.
- Experience with site management, commercial glass, glass manufacturing, cost control, bidding, estimating by divisional AIA code, change orders, site work, Heavybid, preconstruction, restoration, ground-up construction, and civil estimating.
- Strong numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using construction management software, particularly Heavybid.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
