Job Title: Environmental Permitting Specialist
Job Description: The Environmental Permitting Specialist will assist in obtaining and maintaining environmental permits and approvals for various projects. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience within the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead environmental permitting efforts for the design and construction of capital projects, including processing facilities, pipelines, terminals, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate internal resources and external consultants providing permitting services in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and execute permitting strategies to align stakeholders on project goals while ensuring scheduling and budgeting objectives are met.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate critical permitting details and potential siting/constructability concerns.
- Manage environmental compliance and reporting efforts associated with project construction activities.
- Communicate and coordinate project and permitting specifics with regulatory officials as directed.
- Collaborate with various individuals with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
- Prioritize personal safety, the safety of assets and employees, and the general public.
- Perform other daily, weekly, monthly, or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related fields. Other degrees will be considered if combined with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance with increasing responsibility and independence.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing permitting resources/contractors within a project execution environment.
- Experience supporting FERC-regulated projects is highly desirable.
- Experience with midstream/pipelines/facilities and major capital project development.
- Experience with federal agencies and their regulations.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Ability to interpret and apply environmental requirements and translate regulations into compliance guidance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites (up to 30% travel possible).

Salary: 135-155k base plus 10% bonus and 6% dollar for dollar match with an additional 4% kick-up to 10% dollar for dollar.
