Overview
Support the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Office in the development and maintenance of Data Deletion controls to meet business, regulatory and compliance requirements. Understand business needs and identify opportunities to mature The Data Deletion policies and best practices. Understand business needs and identify opportunities to mature data deletion capabilities. Support the EDG Office in the development, implementation, and management of Navy Federal's data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Assist in implementing and managing frameworks designed to identify, evaluate, and manage data governance controls across the organization or a particular business. Identify, measure, and report on compliance with data governance requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide advisory services and support execution of Enterprise Data Governance plans to enable the safe removal and disposal of Enterprise data
Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement data deletion controls/processes aligned with our data deletion framework
Develop and maintain data deletion procedures and documentation
Monitor and respond to data deletion incidents and stakeholder feedback. Provide oversight and training to stakeholders on data deletion protocols and practices
Participate in data deletion compliance reviews and coordinate issue resolution activities
Foster alignment across Enterprise Data Governance, Risk and Records Information Management (RIM) goals and objectives
Design data deletion management metrics in partnership with key stakeholders
Create dashboards and reports as needed to show deletion metrics and communicate them to stakeholders
Effectively communicate and present standards, and procedures, and important updates to business stakeholders
Create presentations in various formats
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years experience in implementing industry data lifecycle management best practices or a related field
Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including and CCPA
Proficiency in data management tools and software
Timeline Development: Ability to create detailed project timelines, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of project activities
Collaboration and Coordination: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams across the organization
Communication: Clear and concise communication skills to articulate project goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholders
Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve blockers and improve processes
Leadership: Leading initiatives, guiding teams, and driving projects to completion
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and new technologies
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in reporting, data management, compliance processes, and written communications
Self-Driven: Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives
Familiarity with data governance industry best practices
Desired Qualification(s)
Knowledge of Navy Federal Infrastructure: Understanding the technical aspects of these systems to clear blockers effectively
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
