THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Enterprise Architect, you will proactively and holistically guide the enterprise through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation and realization of digital and technology strategy and driving innovation opportunities. You will enable the organization to achieve targeted business outcomes that support enterprise priorities for growing revenue, optimizing costs and mitigating risks. You will focus on building relationships with business and IT stakeholders, communicating the value of enterprise architecture (EA) and the services it offers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction with EA services and performance, and help in shaping and guiding the delivery of EA's services. You will engage holistically across the organization and bring passion and advocacy to building a culture of delivering pragmatic outcomes.

LOCATION

This position will be based onsite in our Columbus, OH office. Remote work is not available for this role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist in the designing, building, and managing of the EA team that operates as an internal management consultancy that delivers a suite of EA services.
  • Facilitate alignment of enterprise architecture direction and solutions with business strategies.
  • Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, IT leaders and 3rd party vendors to ensure systems integration and alignment to business needs.
  • Develop and maintain Chipotle's technology roadmap, ensuring that IT investments align with long-term business objectives.
  • Ensure that technology solutions across the enterprise are consistent, interoperable and support key business initiatives.
  • Document and develop current-state and future-state architectures in collaboration with business and technical owners and cross-functional subject matter experts.
  • Articulate comprehensive stories to visualize the future state and trigger long-term planning.
  • Establish standards, best practices, and policies to guide technology decisions and maintain architectural integrity.
  • Identify emerging technologies, trends, and disruptions to assess their impact on targeted business outcomes and recommend solutions that improve the organization's agility and competitive edge.
  • Facilitate team planning and collaboration meetings to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the development and ongoing maintenance of department roadmaps, ensuring traceability from conception to execution.
  • Ensure that IT architecture adheres to security protocols, regulatory requirements, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead and facilitate Enterprise Architecture Governance best practices including Architecture Review Board (ARB) through active collaboration and partnership with peers across technology teams.
  • Share ownership definition of enterprise architectures across domains and initiatives
  • Develop and drive the definition and evolution of enterprise technology standards including integration standards, data architecture artifacts, reference architectures, and technical designs.
  • Lead the development and execution of the portfolio of EA services in alignment with the needs of the enterprise.
  • Own the backlog, prioritization, execution and measurement of the EA services with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Communicate the value of enterprise architecture and its portfolio of services.
  • Assist in identifying organizational requirements for the EA resources, structures, and cultural changes necessary to support agility and adaptability.
  • Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
  • Experience with restaurant/retail POS, Front of House/Back of House systems/solutions in support of Restaurant/Digital capabilities is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting/deploying/operating cloud-based infrastructure and/or applications.
  • Experience and knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
  • Experience and understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
  • Experience and familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.
  • Experience with TOGAF and/or other EA frameworks is desirable.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, experience in restaurant or retail industries.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, ability to communicate across all levels.
  • High level of collaboration with a demonstrated ability to connect and influence.
PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $128,000.00-$189,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
