Description Join Leidos as a Senior Enterprise Application Architect and play a crucial role in supporting the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division. This division is dedicated to enforcing federal antitrust laws and fostering fair competition in the marketplace. In this pivotal position, you will lead the design and maintenance of enterprise-level application architectures that align with strategic business objectives. You will collaborate extensively with business leaders, application development teams, IT operations, and various stakeholders to ensure our application solutions are not only scalable and reliable but also secure and responsive to business needs.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the strategic design and implementation of the enterprise application architecture that aligns with both business and IT goals.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of enterprise applications from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support.
- Ensure seamless integration of applications across diverse platforms and systems, emphasizing interoperability and high availability.
- Collaborate with technical teams to outline integration points, utilizing APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms to enhance communication between systems.
- Drive the design and implementation of cloud-native or hybrid applications leveraging platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Optimize application solutions for cloud environments, focusing on scalability, security, and availability strategies.
- Guide teams through the adoption of cloud services, facilitating smooth migration of applications to cloud infrastructures.
- Document the architecture of enterprise applications, detailing technical specifications, process flows, and integration patterns.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, along with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years in application architecture focused on enterprise applications, with a minimum of 3-5 years in enterprise architecture roles.
- In-depth knowledge of application development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong expertise in enterprise application integration leveraging APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in modern application frameworks, technologies, and practices including microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with enterprise application platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle) and cloud-based development ecosystems.
- Comprehensive understanding of application security practices, including secure coding and data protection measures.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and their integration into enterprise systems.
- Ability to align applications with business processes and strategy, translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring technical personnel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills: - Experience in architecting hybrid cloud applications.
- Knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles in the context of enterprise application architecture.
- Exposure to machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) integrations in enterprise applications.
- Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect), or security (e.g., CISSP) are highly preferred.
Work Location: This position is onsite in the DC area.

Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
