You MUST have the following:
- Experience as Development Manager/Engineering Manager/Head of Trading Engineering
- Experience leading full-stack development teams of 20+ engineers
- Delivery of highly performant Front Office trading applications that have either order management or execution management functionality (EMS or OMS)
- Current TypeScript and Java
- Current AWS, GCP or Azure cloud
- Advanced design and architecture experience
- Agile

Role: Senior Engineering Manager (Java React TypeScript AWS GCP Applications Solutions Senior Head of Trading Software Engineer Programmer Developer Team Technical Lead Manager Architecture Engineering Department EMS OMS PMS Execution Order Management Fixed Income Java Credit Rates Bonds Agile Buy Side Asset Manager Investment Management Banking Finance Front Office Front Office Trading Financial Services) required by our trading software client in Manhattan, New York City. You will oversee five globally distributed teams (around 50 engineers) to deliver the modernization and functional evolution of the product suite. The stack is TypeScript, React, Ag-Grid, OpenFin, Java and AWS. The role will have hands-on elements and requires someone who can code in TypeScript and Java and has worked on AWS, GCP or Azure. You will also need a strong full-stack architectural ability.
The suite is for Fixed Income trading for buy-side clients. It incorporates analytics, order management and execution management. New tooling also includes automated portfolio balancing.
The role is a balance of technical modernization, improvement and functional innovation. You will lead the improvement of engineering standards and technical architecture whilst collaborating with UX, design and sales on functional prioritization and delivery.
You will be a strong leader, technologist and business minded-collaborator. This will be a challenging role that also offers exceptional growth and recognition; your success will have a significant bearing on the success of the company.
You will have Front Office business trading knowledge but it does not have to be Fixed Income. It could equally be commodities, FX or equities.
This is to enable code and design reviews and contributing to prototype builds. The team has built a Fixed Income trading system that incorporates order management, execution management, analytics and trade automation for buyside clients.
As a keen technologist, you will stay up to date with technology, whether with home projects, reading blogs, trying frameworks or tools or contributing to GitHub or Stack Overflow.
The company has hybrid working with 2 days/week in the office. You will report into the CTO and be given the opportunity to further grow the department.
