Senior Engineer

Genuine Parts Company is seeking Senior Engineers, Inventory Planning and Replenishment in Atlanta, GA. Work on a cross-functional, agile delivery team that owns and supports software to support the critical business functions at GPC. Responsible for the development of code and the processes and practices that support a high-quality product like XP Programming practices and Test-Driven Development. Possess a test-first attitude with a focus on automation. Employ best practices around observability, monitoring, and system resilience. Must have Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technology-driven field. Must have 2 years of software engineering experience with structured application development, change control methodologies, and object-oriented analysis and design. Must include experience with Google Cloud platform and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Proficiency in Java, Relational and NoSQL database technologies, and CI/CD tools is required. This role is being offered with a Hybrid Telecommuting Option, with the position requiring work onsite at our Atlanta, GA HQ office as required by manager, and remote work otherwise permitted. While the Company prefers the person live in the Atlanta, GA, metro area, it is not required.
