The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for launching precision aerospace components into production. This role will be responsible for understanding complex product engineering requirements and the processing required to meet those requirements.

Additionally, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Creation and execution of comprehensive manufacturing processes including process planning, process documentation, gaging strategies, tooling solutions and work holding design
  • Development and implementation of established and advanced manufacturing process technologies
  • Writing CNC programs for turning processes
  • Specification and acquisition of process related machinery, tooling, gages, and packaging
  • Frequent communication with manufacturing equipment, cutting tool, and work holding suppliers
  • Troubleshooting and deep diving issues related to manufacturing processes, CNC programs, and manufacturing quality
  • Working with production, design & materials engineering, and quality team members for safe and on-time part and product launches
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience with machining processes.
  • Thorough understanding of detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Advanced proficiency in the interpretation of GD&T requirements and inspection methodologies
  • Experience creating process related work instruction documentation
  • CNC programming experience is required
  • Fundamental understanding of machining work holding strategy, cutting tool selection, and gaging selection
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools
  • An interest in gas turbine engine manufacturing
  • U. S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAM software
  • Experience with Siemens CNC controls
  • Experience developing complex machining processes involving typical aerospace materials such as stainless steel and nickel alloys
