Position: Senior Industrial Electrician

Location: Muskegon

Pay: $47-$50 p/h

Shift: 3rd shift, Monday - Friday


Our client, a leading industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Industrial Electrician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a vital role in maintaining and improving advanced electrical systems within a dynamic production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical faults on motors, furnaces, hydraulic systems, and automated equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and production machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Install, upgrade, and modify electrical components and control panels.
  • Execute conduit runs and electrical cabinet layouts efficiently.
  • Lead projects focused on system improvements and process optimization.
  • Mentor and support junior electricians and apprentices.
  • Utilize PLCs, including Allen Bradley Rockwell Software (RS Logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Linx), PLC-5, and SLC500 hardware.
  • Operate forklifts, articulating boom lifts, and scissor lifts (training and certification provided by our client's safety team).
  • Document maintenance activities and complete work orders using digital systems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Certification as a Master Electrician, Technical Trade School diploma, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronics (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480 volts.
  • Experience working with PLC controls and troubleshooting electrical components.
  • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools (e.g., motor testing, sensor troubleshooting, solenoid testing).
  • Familiarity with electronic instrumentation such as temperature controllers, chart recorders, I/P and P/I converters, and variable frequency drives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must provide own personal hand tools.
