Siemens Government Technologies is looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Electrical Engineering Development Manager who will serve as a technical leader to SGT's ongoing research, development and test engineering (RDT&E) group, focused on the areas of power electronics, microgrids and control systems. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in driving growth and solving customers' most complicated technical issues. As the Senior Electrical Engineering Development Manager, you will develop and implement successful RDT&E projects, build strong relationships with customers, and build a team to advance the Siemens One Tech approach and drive growth. You must have a proven track record of accountability, results orientation, and team leadership. Additionally, you must have the ability to create long-lasting relationships with clients, identify and capture business opportunities, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:
• Act as a central focal point for systems engineering development efforts within SGT across Smart Infrastructure and Digital Services technologies
• Be the subject matter expert for electrical distribution, protection and control from low to medium voltage systems
• Help grow SGT's RDT&E's programs by working closely with our R&D laboratories
• Key KPIs for success in this role include successful execution of existing RDT&E projects, submission of compelling proposals to US Government customers and generation of resulting revenue
• Engage with SGT Leadership to gather customer requirements and propose design solutions
• Build strong, trusted advisor relationships with federal customers as well as internal sponsors and maintain a deep understanding of their needs and requirements
• Analyze market trends in applicable research areas critical to SGT, customer insights, and competitor intelligence
• Lead presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and technology reviews
• Manager SGT engineers electrical technologies
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g. R&D centers, product development)
• Represent the company at industry events and technical conferences
• Publish literature to broadcast SGT's development successes
• File patents on developed IP Requirements:
• MS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics or other relevant technical field
• Ten years of experience in a corporate or federal government setting and three years of experience in managerial leading a team of direct reports
• Proven experience as a successful research associate
• Successful track record of leading direct reports
• Executing program work with US Federal Government customers
• Experience with US Federal Government projects, contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office suite applications, and web or cloud-based software applications such as SharePoint.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing multiple projects with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex issues and progress to executives and consulting with C-level clients
• Strong relationship management and ability to build alliances.
• Excellent organizational skills, handle complex and politically charged issues, and negotiate with attention to detail
• Familiarity with control systems, software development, power distribution, electrical infrastructure, energy procurement, and energy related industries (automation, fire protection, solar and/or power generation) Travel:

• The salary range for this position is $191,000.00 to $257,000.00 An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
