Senior Electrical Engineer with Security Clearance

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company supporting the Department of Defense, is searching for a Senior Embedded Systems & FPGA engineer to join our Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Group. This role is ideally suited for a highly skilled engineer with experience in PCB design, embedded systems development, and FPGA/microcontroller programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complex embedded hardware and firmware solutions, with a focus on high-performance mixed-signal and real-time control applications. The selected candidate will be expected to lead hardware and firmware development efforts, working with analog and digital circuit designs, PCB layout, microcontrollers, and FPGA-based systems. This position also requires an ability to mentor junior engineers, perform system-level testing, and collaborate with optical, mechanical, and control system engineers to integrate hardware solutions into larger High Power Microwave (HPM) and High Energy Laser (HEL) Systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field 10+ years of relevant Science & Engineering Experience US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with PCB design and layout in mixed signal applications
Ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and provide technical leadership.
Experience with FPGA/SoC design and simulation
Experience with VHDL, MATLAB/Simulink, and C/C programming languages Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Desired Qualifications: Knowledgeable of schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer Knowledgeable of logic simulation and circuit analysis tools such as LTSpice, Simulink, Multisim, ModelSim, and HyperLynx Experience with PLCs, motor controllers, and electro-optical systems
Experience with hands on design, testing and debugging mixed signal systems Experience with data logging and interfacing data acquisition systems Experience leading a team of individuals in the development of a product/deliverable
