We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support software for vision and electrical test modules, optimize automation tests, and ensure industry compliance while conducting system analysis. In this role, you'll design and develop electronic test systems for pacemakers and defibrillators, from circuit design to FPGA coding. You will oversee production, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers to ensure our devices operate safely and effectively. Troubleshooting and repairing systems, as well as guiding technicians, will also be key responsibilities.
This engagement covers the project duration, with potential for future collaboration. Join us to advance life-saving technology and make a real impact on patient health.
Responsibilities:
- Apply your knowledge of electronic design methodologies and systems to develop test system concepts, requirements and specifications using hardware engineering best practices and/or industry standards.
- Implement electronic instrumentation and test systems based on requirements and specifications.
- Integrate electronic instrumentation and subsystems into larger test systems that may include both software components and medical devices.
- Work in technical cross-functional teams to develop and support custom instrumentation and test systems.
- Hands on, and/or oversight of technicians in troubleshooting and repair PCB assemblies and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering, including hands-on experience in designing and creating final products. This role requires someone who can contribute from day one.
- Experience supporting hardware prototype development, particularly for "End of Line" (EOL) Endoscopy and Urology product testers, with the ability to jump into projects immediately.
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB design oversight, low-power analog design, and board-level circuit troubleshooting/repair, ensuring smooth execution from the start.
- Experience integrating electronic and software systems, including problem resolution, LabVIEW VI development, and vision test development, with minimal onboarding time.
- Strong laboratory skills for debugging and ensuring functional prototype software, as well as experience using standard electrical test equipment to make an impact right away.
- Ability to write technical documents, reports, memos, and change requests, as well as participate in code reviews, unit testing, and reliability testing without delay.
- Assistance with ongoing LabVIEW support, sustaining engineering activities, and electrical engineering support for various projects, actively contributing from the outset.
