Your role will include:
- Taking ownership of the electrical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring safety, scope and technical delivery are aligned
- Acting as a point of contact with customers, supporting scope reviews, risk identification, and feedback loops
- Reviewing and producing electrical design documents (including load schedules, cable calcs, termination drawings, SLDs)
- Supporting the design, specification, and procurement of control panels, MCCs, PLC and field equipment
- Overseeing subcontractor design delivery and contributing to H&S and CE/UKCA documentation
- Carrying out project inspections and FATs
What you'll need:
- A HNC (or degree) in Electrical or Controls Engineering
- Experience delivering detailed electrical designs in industrial environments; bonus if you ve worked with bulk materials handling systems
- Familiarity with current wiring regulations, CE/UKCA compliance, and design risk assessments
- A desire to take ownership and step confidently into a leadership-level position
Travel and team structure:
- Project-dependent travel may be required: typically 1 to 4 weeks spread across the year
- No direct line management responsibilities, but you ll coordinate and oversee contractors on assignments
