Job Description:
A leading global technology company in the field of photonics is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team focused on designing, developing, and optimizing advanced beam delivery systems for fiber-based laser solutions. This role covers the full product lifecycle-from schematic design and lab debugging to system integration and testing-to ensure performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the full lifecycle of new schematic capture/board designs using OrCAD, including FPGA development.
Managing project timelines, creating detailed specifications, and documenting new designs.
Supporting manufacturing test procedures, system calibration, and debugging.
Assisting with compliance certification processes for new and existing products.
Delivering high-quality, production-ready boards within estimated timelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in schematic and FPGA RTL design using Verilog.
Proficiency with schematic design tools such as OrCAD; familiarity with PCB layout tools.
Experience using ModelSim and Quartus.
Demonstrated ability to design and develop electronic boards independently.
Background in analog design, control systems, DSP, or high-efficiency power supplies is a plus.
Familiarity with external interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and QSPI.
Experience with Clock Domain Crossing (CDC).
Skilled in hardware bring-up using tools such as Signal Tap, oscilloscopes, and lab instruments.
Proficient in version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues.
